The beautiful
words of “It’s Not Only Me”, as shared by Jodi
Pastore have succeeded in expressing the passions and emotions
so deeply felt by every one of us. She reaches into the soul
and stirs the embers of feelings, long forgotten or simply hidden
No, “it’s not only me, it’s all of us. Anyone
who has felt the joys and hurts that are so much a part of life.
Those same joys and hurts that eventually,as she so beautifully
expresses, lead us to finally understand who we are. Life experiences
which serve to guide us to the ultimate realization that the
only true happiness comes from a place inside of each of us.
A happiness based on knowing that we are comfortable with who
we are and that can only be made better if we are fortunate enough
to share it with someone who touches our heart as we touch theirs.

To It’s Not Only Me,
Through
my years as a mother and a wife, you’ve done a wonderful
job putting them down in words. Thank you
-J.C.
Dear Jodi,
Your
poetry book was absolutely incredible. Your words put so much
meaning into what goes on in life; it will always be such a
treasure to me.

Dear Jodi,
This
book has been such a comfort to me, my son has P.D.D and I have
had a challenging time accepting his diagnosis. I found
Jodi’s book and it has proven to be a catharsis to me.
On those days when I feel like giving up the “good fight”,
Jodi’s words cheer me on. Whenever I am upset or depressed
I read a few of my favorite stories and I am instantly uplifted
and encouraged. Her book has been my cheerleader through my
darkest days; her words are like a beckon of light. She is
like a lighthouse on the stormiest nights and her words and
wisdom come back to me whenever I need them most. Thank you
so much Jodi! With love and gratitude this is helping always.
-Debbie
To It’s Not Only Me,
Everyone
and anyone can indeed connect to the thoughts and ideas found
in these poems.

To Jodi,
The
words of your poetry seem to have eloquently captured human emotion,
thought, and experiences. You have a poetic style that
is pleasing both, on the page and uttered by the tongue. Your
poetry achieves exactly what a poem should; it captures a moment
in time and a feeling or thought that translates into words onto
the page in just the right amount. As you say it’s not
about you, it’s about the reader. I think it can translate
to anyone that reads the book and I think they should.

.
Dear Jodi,
When
I read this book I thought I was reading my journal. I never
stopped and thought that it’s really not only me. I recommend
this book to almost everyone I talk to. Keep it up can’t
wait for the next. Thank you for showing me that IT’S
NOT ONLY ME!!!

Dear Jodi,
Amid the tempests of unmanageably complicated post-modern life,
Jodi Pastore has constructed a refuge from the storm. Her
transparent poems beckon us into a haven from which we may pause
to look inward and outward, calmly, safely, momentarily. Express
and examine all emotion: comfort, acceptance, forgiveness,
affection and sheer wonder hold guile at bay. To enter
this sanctuary, we’ve only to recognize, “It’s
Not Only Me.”
